Loyalty programs are the heart of GiftTran MS, and are the foundation of a sound loyalty card. We know that keeping customers is the key to any successful business and card-based systems are no different. Merchants want to participate in your program if it brings them a steady stream of customers, and enrolling your consumers in a loyalty program is a perfect way to keep them coming back for more.
In GiftTran MS, each merchant can decide on his own loyalty reward and loyalty targets. And each of the consumers rewards is tracked at each merchant by GiftTran MS. This allows great flexibility on a merchant-to-merchant scenario. And with multiple loyalty programs available for you to choose from your flexibility will never run out.
Point-based Loyalty Program
Joe’s Pizza Shack participates in the point-based loyalty program, and the customer earns 1 point per dollar for a target of 100 points. When he earns 100 points he gets a coupon for a free large pizza. Point-based loyalty programs allow consumers to earn points for every purchase they make. When the consumer accumulates enough points at a merchant to reach that merchant-settable target, they will get an award (usually a coupon, but is easily customizable). How many points the customer earns for a given purchase is up to the merchant (and 100% customizable), but a typical loyalty program is 1 point per dollar spent. Point-based loyalty programs are simple for the consumer to understand “I get 1 point per $1 and need $50 to get something“. And combine the point-based loyalty program with the reward balance view in your digital receipts or web interface to keep your consumer up to date on exactly how much more spending he needs to do to earn free stuff.
Counter-based Loyalty Program
Rob’s Rib Shack is using the the counter-based loyalty program, and the customer earns +1 for every visit for a target of 10 visits. When he reaches 10 visits he gets a coupon for a 50% off a rack of ribs. Counter-based loyalty programs allow consumers to earn points for every visit (or some other counter like sandwiches purchased or movie tickets bought). When the consumer earns enough counts at a merchant to reach that merchant-settable target, they will get an award (usually a coupon, but is easily customizable). Counter-based loyalty programs are also simple for the consumer to understand “I only need to buy one more sandwich to get something“. Counter-based loyalty programs can also generate a balance view in your digital receipts or web interface to keep the consumer information on exactly what he needs to do to earn.
Cashback Loyalty Program
Jenn’s Jewelry uses the cashback program, and the customer earns 5% cashback on all purchases. A customer buys a bracelet for $500, and earns $25 cashback for he next purchase. Cashback loyalty programs lets consumers earn cashback for every purchase they make. Each purchase the customer makes earns a specific percent casback (customizable for each merchant). The earned cashback can be used to purchase anything in the store as cash, and earned cashback can be set to expire if not used in a given amount of time. The cashback balance view in your digital receipts or web interface will keep your consumer up to date on exactly how much cashback they have at each merchant.
